Posting a followup to an article
To post a followup to the current article, select the Post followup... item from the Post/E-mail menu. The followup dialog window will be displayed:
If you select the Advanced... button, the dialog box changes to reveal more sending options:
Operation is now identical to that of posting an article; however, you should keep in mind the following:
- If your reply includes an HTML file, the referenced article will be overlaid with your reply. Therefore, be sure to save the referenced article somewhere before selecting your HTML file, then copy the saved article back into your reply at the appropriate point.
- If the referenced article was originally posted in HTML, your reply will include only the synopsis (i.e., the ASCII-tized version of the original post).
- If you include the original article in your followup, via the Include menu, and if the cc: originator box is checked, the e-mail address of the sender of the original article will replace whatever you had specified in the cc: field. Thus, if you wish to cc: someone other than the sender of the original message, you should enter that person's e-mail address in the cc: field after including the original article.
