Quick subscribe
Normally, when you want to subscribe to a newsgroup you'll first list all the available groups whose names or descriptions contain a certain character string, then you'll select from the list displayed, as described in Display all matching groups and Display all matching descriptions, respectively. A somewhat faster way to subscribe to one or more groups is available, if you know the exact names of the groups in question. Simply press the Subscribe button in the toolbar, and enter the names of the groups you wish to subscribe to, each group name separated by one or more blanks, e.g.,
Next, either press the Enter or Return key, with the mouse cursor in the text field of the above dialog box, or press the Subscribe button. Assuming that the groups exist and that you are not already subscribed to them, WebReader will update your Newsrc.subscribed file with the new groups and then scan for unread articles.
