What's New in WebReader?
Version 3.0 of WebReader includes the following changes and functional enhancements:
- Conversion of the graphical user interface to JFC (aka Swing).
· Addition of a toolbar for easy access to frequently-used functions.
· Support for automatic FAQ retrieval. In many cases, it is not necessary to post a message to Usenet requesting the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) list for a group.
· Improved performance and interoperability.
· Various other enhancements and bug fixes.
System Requirements
In order to install and run WebReader, you will need the following hardware and software installed on the target system:
- 5 MB disk space, of which 2.7 MB can be released following installation.
- 32 MB RAM
- Sun Java Developers Kit (JDK) 1.2 or 1.2.2 (JDK 1.3 is, as of 11/99, very buggy)
- For Windows 95/NT platforms, FAT32 file system support is highly recommended
